CHARLOTTE ? Investigators now say two fires at a south Charlotte church were intentionally set.
No one was injured in the incident. Fire officials released the details of their investigation Wednesday afternoon.
A church employee pulled the alarm when she saw smoke in the sanctuary of Providence Baptist Church just before 9 a.m. Wednesday. A second fire was set behind the church.
Damages are estimated to be around $50,000 to $100,000.
Anyone with any information that may help investigators is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
The part of the church that was damaged is expected to reopen Thursday.
